I am a Research Assistant in the Department of Geography and Planning at the University of Saskatchewan, where I completed my MSc in Geography under the supervision of Dr. Xulin Guo. My current work supports the Alberta Oil Sands Monitoring program, running a large-scale Landsat time-series pipeline over roughly 142,000 km² of the Athabasca Oil Sands Region from 1985 to the present, using LandTrendr and CCDC in Google Earth Engine to characterize vegetation disturbance and recovery.

I’m based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on the northern Great Plains of Canada. The map below outlines the area I work in, the South Saskatchewan River runs along its western edge.
This plot tracks the average daily maximum temperature in Saskatoon across roughly a decade and a half. The year-to-year swings reflect the region’s strongly continental climate, with the 2002 peak standing out against an otherwise steady range.
